We need zip and link bed for back pain and different weights

What would the best zip and link mattress be? - my husband weighs 12 stone and I weigh 8. We both suffer from lower back pain when we wake in the morning and I have very sensitive pelvis and hips which means I can't lie on any hard surface. I also sweat a lot at night so only want a 'cold' mattress!

Hi Nikki,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The most important thing to get right is the spring tension so that each party gets the correct level of support. Whilst this will prevent further aggravation of any back issues, it does not guarantee total elimination. With your particular body weights we would suggest that a medium spring tension would suit your husband and a soft spring would suit you. Such products are only available in our Artisan range and can be made in a one piece in king size and above or zip and link. Zip and link mattresses are primarily selected where access is an issue or where the weight of a one piece mattress may prohibit regular turning. If access or weight is not an issue, you could opt for the one piece.

All the mattresses in the Artisan range contain natural upholstery which does not generate heat or make the sleeper overheat. Please view the Artisan Naturals, the best selling product in that range or the Artisan Bespoke 004. Both these mattresses can have the spring tension selected to suit and both will provide an overall medium feel in the upholstery, which should be fine. The Naturals has 85% natural upholstery and the 004 has 100%.

We trust that the above is of help to you, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind regards.
