A Zip and Link mattress would be fine on this base though we would advise that you board over the slats as per our advice in this article.

It prevents sags and dips from occurring if the slats are spaced too far apart and generally ensures your base doesn't inadvertently damage your new mattress.

One thing to consider if that using Zip & Link's on a one piece bed frame means you won't be able to separate them. This is fine for some people but if you were wanting a zip and link so you could split the base and have two separate beds, ie for visitors. This won't be possible with your one piece sleigh bed.
