A customer asked

Dear sirs
I'm about to have my garage converted, a huge brickbuilt apex-roofed thing, into an annex. It will have a bedroom in which I'd like to have 2 x 3'mattresses with attractive, (possibly metal?) headboards, zippable into a comfortable superking bed for couples. Under this I'd like to have 2 x comfortable trundle beds.
This is so that I can offer all options for guests. Do you do such a thing with super-comfy yet durable mattresses and what would the cost be approx?
I went to lie on a Hypnos and a Kensington mattress today. I liked them but they seem rather expensive with cashmere, horsehair, silk etc. How essential are these thing??
Also, the comfort factor is very important, as is the durability. I plan to use mattress covers, waterproof of course, and like your suggestion of the wool-rich blanket under that also. Many thanks, Diane

Hi Diane,

Thanks for your question.

The use of the materials you refer to are important if you specifically require a naturally upholstered mattress, however, our Origins range, which have synthetic fibres in the upholstery are probably more suitable for the type of usage you require.

We would normally recommend our Origins Pocket 1500 or Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 for your needs.

The Origins Pocket 1500 has a medium upholstery providing that slight sink into the top layer but not too much. Alternatively, the Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 has a slightly firmer upholstery and whilst it is firmer we get a lot of feedback that it is very comfortable at the same time.

Please note however, that we do not manufacture trundle beds nor are mattresses suitable for use with trundle beds.

I hope this helps but if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
