Artisan bespoke 004 - best base

Hi, my husband and I are looking for a new mattress and a base/ottoman/bedstead.
We like the sound of Artisan bespoke 004 mainly for the use of horsehair and other natural materials. We have research Vispring mattresses but I believe that you offer better value for money while using very similar materials.
We would like to buy a super king zip and link mattress with soft/medium split tension. I am 9 stones and my husband is about 14 stones.
We are looking for a base that has plentiful storage as we have some art collection that we would like to store under/inside the new bed.
Would you be able to advise me please if the ottoman in super-king size would be a good combination with the Artisan Bespoke 004 mattress?
The other option we consider is to buy the mattress with a pocket sprung base but instead of using castors we would have legs fitted. Would that be a viable option? If so, how high would the overall bed/mattress combo be?

Thank you for your enquiry.
The Artisan Bespoke 004 would be fine on our ottoman base, however, from a storage point of view, whilst offering more storage than drawers, the ottomans come in two halves so the storage would be 3ft wide and 6ft 6 inches long as shown in the picture.
If you were to opt for a base with legs, they can be made in depths from 6 inches up in 2 inch increments. Legs can be provided from 2 inches up at 1 inch increments. For example you could have a 6 inch base on 6 inch legs, which together with the mattress would give an overall height of around 23-24 inches.
