From the heading of your question, I presume that you are looking at our Artisan Range of mattresses and in particular our Artisan Naturals.

This mattress has a medium comfort layer, those are the fillings which you sleep on which are on top of the springs.

As you have a slatted base, this mattress can go onto that existing base as all it will do is firm the spring tension of the mattress up slightly.

At your body weights, I would suggest a medium spring which will give you both the correct support.

If however you prefer a mattress that is firm in those comfort layers, I would recommend that you look at our Artisan Bespoke.  Again you would need a medium spring tension to give you the correct support.

This mattress can also go onto your existing slatted base.

This mattress is the firmest that we may in the Artisan Range.

Both of the above mattresses are pocket sprung mattresses and both contain 1600 calico encased pocket springs which are the best springs you can have in a mattress.

The Artisan Naturals has a similar feel to a Vi Spring Regal Superb and the Artisan Bespoke has a similar feel to a Vi Spring Herald Superb.   You could find a local stockist in your area and go and try both of these mattresses to see which of them you do prefer.
