Artisan Naturals or Origins latex?
Guys Thanks for the great site although it has now left me stuck with information overload :-) . I have budget for ether your Artisan Naturals or the latex 1500 , I am currently 14 st but and looking to get back to the 12.5 st that I should be in the near future. From going to Bensons for beds I preferred the beds they classed as medium firmness. you have a firmness rating for the latex one but not the Artisan Natural . Are these beds comparable at all ?
is it just a case of whichever type of materials are personal preference or will the extra spend just mean a comfier better mattress ?
Your thoughts are appreciated. Billy .
Hi Billy,
Thank you for your question.
The Artisan Naturals is a far superior bed than the latex model due to the fact that it contains natural fillings. The Origins Latex 1500 contains two layers of Talalay Latex on top of pocket springs but is a far firmer mattress than the Artisan Naturals.
As you have probably read, there is no such thing as a firmness rating as it all depends on the actual body weight of the individual person. At your body weight, I would recommend a medium spring tension which will give you the support you need.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
The Artisan Naturals comfort layer will also give you a more medium feel meaning that it is neither too soft nor too firm.
However, it is all down to personal preference as to how you want the mattress to feel in those top upholstery layers as it is the upholstery layers that give you the comfort.
I hope the above is of assistance to you however, please do not hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419 for further information or advice.
Kind regards Julie
John and Ryan.
