A customer asked

Hi, I am thinking about getting a new double matteress but I am a large 18.5 stone 6' tall bloke I have lower back problems from lifting extremely heavy loads when I was younger and my wife is 14.5 stone, 5'9 and of a stocky build and pregnant.
She also complains I snore really loud and she is a light sleeper, is there a better combination of matteress and what sort of money are we looking at.

Hi David.

Thank you for your enquiry. With the weight difference, you should consider either a dual spring tension one piece mattress or a zip and link set.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

As a starter, I would look at the Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000.  This mattress is a medium in the comfort layers and has two tiers of springs that you can have the spring tension of medium on one side for your wife and a firm on the other for yourself selected to suit.

I hope this helps, if you would like to discuss the suitability of any of our mattresses please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
