Base for Fusion3

Dear Lee, thanks for your very helpful last reply. Our bed is a sleigh design with a wooden slatted base. Would this be ok for a Fusion 3 mattress or do we need to lay a solid piece of ply across the slats? Thanks.

Hi there,
A slatted base will be fine for use with the Fusion 3 provided that you place some form of barrier, usually in the form of thin (3-5mm) MDF over the slats to provide the mattress with a uniform surface upon which to sit. The will prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats. Thin ply will also suffice.
