In need of a new mattress but unsure which to buy for best comfort. My wife and I both suffer back ache as our mattress is getting old so need a new one.
We have a King size bed with slatted base, both of us get quite warm in bed, I am around 320lb and 6ft tall.
Probably have a budget of around £500 but your advice and guidance may mean we have to up the figure if possible.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for getting in touch sorry to hear you're both suffering with your sleep.

Ideally, we would need to know your partner's weight as well but I can make some recommendations.

Most mattresses only accommodate up to 18 stone but we have a range of mattresses suitable for 18 stone plus sleepers.

The first is our Resilience Range which are tailored made for heavier sleepers.

However, they are made of hybrid foam and so would be warmer than a traditional mattress.

They are also out of your current budget.

We have an article here which explains all about the Resilience and the considerations needed for people who are looking for a mattress and are over 18 stone, may help clear give you some clarity on what you need to look for.

The next option is to look at our Origins Pocket 1500 but in a 2000 spring count,  The 1500 would be too soft for you so 2000 springs would be necessary. This would be closer to your budget.

The other option would be to look at our Artisan range such as the Artisan 1500 in a Firm spring tension.

We hope that helps and if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get back in touch with us.

Kind Regards Gary
