Can I put an Artisan naturals mattress on a wooden slatted base?

You can use a wooden slatted base with our Artisan Naturals mattresses as long as the gaps between the slats do not exceed 3". If the gaps are larger than 3" you will need to board over the slatted area using MDF or Plywood (3-5mm depth).

This would then create a uniform surface for the mattress to sit on top of, similar to a Platform Divan. Placing any mattress on a platform divan or a fixed slatted base will give the mattress a slightly firmer feel overall, whereas placing a mattress on a sprung divan will slightly soften the overall feel of the mattress.
