Cheap bargain memory foam help
Hi, I'm torn between a £227 Joseph Magnus 3000 spring memory foam mattress from what appears to be a cheap online retailer (med-firm) and a £379 (50% reduced price) 1500 spring damask topped mattress from Dreams (firm) but not sure if cheaper will be compromised quality & firmness will soften as I require the support? It does suggest that the upholstery is good quality however. Any advice gratefully received.
Hi Sarbay,
Thank you for your question.
The description of the Joseph Magnus mattress is vague in the extreme and on that basis I am unable to make any recommendation in respect of the same. What I would say, however, is that memory foam is notorious for heat retention and is not a product we would recommend in a mattress.
As far as the Dreams option is concerned, you have not specified a model, which makes any comparison or advice impossible. Bargains may appear good, but they rarely deliver in terms of quality and performance.
If your budget is limited, then I am afraid your choices in respect of a new mattress will also be limited. It may be worth taking a look at our online Outlet option. This is where we resell products that have been returned to us under the 60 day love it or return it guarantee. Once a product is returned to us we inspect it thoroughly and grade it using the grading system shown in the table below;
Grade | Discount | Description |
---|---|---|
B | 20% | Will have been used by a customer and returned under the 60 night love it or return it guarantee, it may have a few marks from transit and courier handling. |
C | 40% | Will have been used by a customer and returned under the 60 night love it or return it guarantee, it will have quite a few marks and could even have a small tear, nothing detrimental to the life or use of the mattress. |
If you have any further questions please give the office a call on 0161 437 4419.
Kind regards,
Amy
