Divan drawers with a four poster

Hello
We have a four poster frame, that would fit a king size divan. However, with the wheels on the John Ryan divan, the drawer height would be at such a level that the frame would stop them from opening. We think that the drawers would work provided we could remove the wheels and that the drawers could still be opened if the divan was just placed on the floor. Please could you advise?

Good Afternoon Tom de A,

Thanks for your question.

A standard King Size base measures 5ft x 6ft 6". As long as the frame allows for a base of that size to go in you should be fine.

The Castors on our bases are 2" in height. These can be removed and the base can be used without them. I'd simply advise to double check the measurements to ensure that removal of the Castors will allow the drawers to be used correctly otherwise it might be worth purchasing a base without drawers.

Our Contemporary Platform Divan base is a solid top base that will firm up the feel of any mattress going on top of it. Alternatively, if you were looking to soften down the feel of the mattress going on top of it you could look at our Artisan Base. Here you can choose either Pocket Springs or Bonnel Coil in the construction and both will add extra support to the mattress but also soften down the feel of the mattress, with the Pocket Sprung base doing it to a slightly higher level.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
