Our Artisan range is the range that we compare with Vi-Spring that can be found in stores such as Furniture Village, Harrods, House of Fraser, And So To Bed and now a company called Prestige Beds.

 

The Vi-Spring Heligan, whilst we don't have a direct comparison, is one that we'd compare closest to our Artisan Naturals.

The Naturals is a true medium feeling model in the top layers that gives that slight sink in sensation but not too much. This model has 85% natural fillings that will provide a really cool sleep surface. This is also our best selling model.

 

A slatted base will give the mattress a slightly firmer feel (This is the case whether the slats are sprung or solid). Please note that we don't construct any sort of slatted base. Our Artisan range of mattresses are paired as standard with our Artisan Pocket Sprung Base that will give the mattress a slightly softer feel. However, these mattresses can be used on any base. If it is a slatted base you opt for then please note you would need to board the slats with standard sheets of MDF, plywood or pegboard if the gaps are bigger than 3". This is to protect from indentation and damage.

At your body weight you are borderline between a Soft and Medium spring - If you want something with a bit more give then choose the Soft, if you want something with a bit more support then choose the Medium. At your partners body weight he would be quite comfortably matched with a Medium spring.
