Elderly couple looking for new mattress
Hi guys, I am so pleased I came across your site.
We're really struggling to decide what bed to buy.
1.
We're in our 60's 2.
We're both of similar height 5'6" and 5'8" 3.
I weigh about 78kg and my husband weighs 85kg 4.
My husband suffers from aching joints and back ache 5.
I suffer from lower back ache - mattress related I'm sure 6.
I get hot very quickly so am really worried about memory foam 7.
He wants memory foam to support his aching joints and bones 8.
Our mattress is way overdue for replacing 9.
We both like a firm mattress >
Hi Louise,
John and Ryan have asked me to respond to you to try and assist.
Given your requirements I believe a firm latex bed such as the fusion 6 or fusion 4 would be ideal. These are available to buy in the John Ryan Ebay shop.
Given the heat issue latex is far cooler than memory foam and has all the pressure relieving benefits you expect from a contemporary mattress.
Latex is however warmer than a traditional bed so bare this in mind, its the trade off for the super adaptive nature of latex and the quick response rate which means you're not stuck with that memory foam quick sand feel.
The solid core latex mattresses such as the fusion range are fully turnable and some come with matching turnable toppers increasing the progressive comfort and also increasing the longevity of your bed.
What I would ask is you go try some latex mattresses to get used to the sensation of latex, there's a slight sink before support and this often feels very different to a traditional mattress.
If you need further detail then please call the office.
Kind Regards Gary
