A customer asked

HiI'm 7.2 stone. My husband is 11 stone. We have a wood bed with wooden slats. Our mattress is medium firm.I've had a frozen shoulder for 2.5 years. It is finally in the 'thawing' out period.I am unable to sleep on my right side as a result. I thought a new mattress or mattress topper or both may help me.Can you advise which would be best from your range. I would dearly like a good nights sleep.

Hi Shamila,

Thank you for your question.

From what you have explained, it looks like your mattress may be too firm for you both as you are both very light in body weight.

I would recommend at this stage trying a really soft topper on your existing mattress which will then give you extra comfort layers to sink in to.   If you require a mattress from ourselves, I would recommend that you look at either our Origins Comfort 1000  or the Artisan Luxury.  Both of these mattresses are the softest that we make.   The difference between them is that the Origins Comfort 1000 has man made fillings whereas the Artisan Luxury has 100% natural fillings.

Both these mattresses can go onto your existing slatted base but it will firm the spring tension up in the Artisan Luxury slightly.    The Origins Comfort 1000 comes with a medium spring tension but in the Artisan range of mattresses, we can tweak the spring tension to suit your body weights and in the Artisan Luxury I would recommend a soft spring for you and a medium spring for your Husband.

I hope the above if of assistance to you, but please do not hesitate to contact me should you require further advice on 0161 437 4419.

Kind regards Julie
