How does the zip & link set up work?

We are members of a fishing lodge with a house where members can stay. The beds are really terrible and need replaced but the budget is very limited. I see you do a zip and link mattress and have one in your outlet at the moment. Can you explain how the bed set up works? Is it 2 single bases? Then how does the headboard work? Surely once the beds are made into single beds the king size headboard won’t look right. What is your lowest cost for supplying the zip and link mattress, the 2 bases and the headboard? What size would the bed be?

Thank you for your enquiry. The mattress we recommend for guest houses and B & B's is the Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 as this mattress takes a wider variety of body weights but we do not have any zip and links in the outlet at the moment. There is an Origins Pocket 1500 king size zip and link in the outlet but unfortunately, we do not have any corresponding bases at this time.
With a zip and link mattress, base and two-piece headboard the bed can be separated into two beds to make a twin room or put together for couples. A king size zip and link is the same as a one piece 5 ft x 6 ft 6 in. When separated each bed would be 2 ft 6 in x 6 ft 6 in. With a super king size, 6 ft x 6 ft 6 in, when separated each bed would be a standard single size of 3 ft but 6 ft 6 in instead of 6 ft 3 in.
The cost new of the Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 and Origins Platform Base zip and link with a two-piece headboard in king size is £1200 and in super king size £1315. For the Origins Pocket 1500 and Origins Platform Base zip and link with a two-piece headboard in king size is £1245 and for a super king size is £1390.
