How flexible are the hybrid mattressess?

I want to buy a hybrid 4 kingsize but my stairwell is very tight. Is there any degree of flexibility in compression its width - not its entire length but at various pinch points? Also can the mattress go on a slatted bed?

Thank you for your question.
There is some flexibility in the Hybrid mattresses, but it would help if you could provide some measurements of the area concerned.
As far as the use of a slatted base is concerned, Foam based mattress are not suited to slatted bases.
I would suggest that you place some form of barrier between the mattress and the slats to provide a uniform surface upon which the mattress will sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats.
