Matress for period Victorian sprung base

Gill

We have an original Victorian bedstead with a replica sprung base, comprising iron frame holding springs and mesh that lays on bedstead. This base is 35yrs old , the springing is still in pristine condition with no sagging at all. Our current matress is Dunlopillo also about 35yrs old, which in fairness has served us very well. However, we are in need of a replacement . We are both about how 12stone. Could you advise me please.

Hi Gill

Thanks for your question.

We always say if the base isn't broken in anyway it will be perfectly fine to use again.

If you have always got on with your current Dunlopillo, i would recommend that you visit a local Dunlopiilo retailer and see if one of the current models is how you would like you new mattress to feel, support and comfort wise.

Once you have the name of your favorite get in touch with us in the office and we can guide you to which model in our solid 100% natural latex mattresses will feel the closest.

From both your body weights i would say a medium feel is usually better, but give them a try just to make sure you don't prefer the firm feel latex products.

Please call the office on 0161 437 4419.
