Mattress Guarantee Conditions - Central Support Leg

Your mattress guarantees presumably have some conditions, such as regular turning and occasional flipping.
However, do you also require the placement of a central support leg underneath the support bar on double wooden bedframes?
I have recently purchased a double pine bedframe, and I wondered whether I should add a central support leg underneath the support bar before I purchase a mattress from you (I understand that your mattresses are heavier than average).
Thanks,
Kari

Hi Kari,

Thanks for your question.

You're right that we do have conditions such as monthly turning and rotating of the mattress along with using a protector. You can read more on that here. By looking after your mattress you can ensure that it provides years of quality sleep for you.

You raise an interesting point on mattress bases suitability for our range. Our mattresses are heavy because we put so much in them, unlike cheap retail mattresses. We list our mattress weights here. We would say that your base needs to be suitably sturdy for this. If your base can't support the mattress you may risk damaging it which would void the guarantee if its damaged due to a base fault.

For that, we would say it would be a good idea to add a central support leg, most slatted bases double and above should come with one anyway. Boarding over slats will also help stop damage and help with consistency, see our guide here on why that's a good idea! I would also advise seeking the advice of the retailer of the bed base in case there's anything else they need to advise.

Kind Regards, Lee.
