Hi guys looking to buy a new mattress, ours is very spongy now and we can feel the odd coil sticking out.
We currently have a slatted bed (a Warren Evans one) that we are quite happy with.
Our heights and weights are 5'8 and 5'6, around 70 and 65kgs

Hello there,

Although you have provided your body weights, you have not advised your preferred feel or budget, which makes providing advice as to the most appropriate mattress from our ranges a little difficult.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Having said that, you both fall within the medium spring tension bracket and I would suggest you view the Origins Pocket 1500, which has synthetic upholstery and provides an overall medium feel.

Alternatively, if your budget permits, please view the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 or Artisan Bespoke, all of which can have the spring tension selected as medium.

The Naturals and Bespoke 004 will provide a similar feel to each other with the Naturals having 85% natural upholstery whereas the Bespoke 004 has 100%.

The Artisan Bespoke, although selected in a medium spring tension, will provide a slightly firmer feel in the upholstery.

If you are going to place any of these mattresses on a slatted base, I would advise placing some form of barrier, usually in the form of thin (3-5mm) MDF.

This will provide a uniform surface upon which the mattress can sit and prevent ridging occurring as a result of the mattress dipping into the gaps between the slats.

I trust that this helps, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office.

Kind Regards Gary
