Mattress suitability

Vanessa

We are of vastly differing weights - 54kg versus 110kg. He sleeps hot, I am usually cold.
He prefers a firm top, I like to sink in a little.
We tend to sleep on our sides - hurrah, something in common!
Both wake with low back pain which eases after a while.
Current mattress past sell by date.
Current place of abode is cold in winter and pretty hot in the summer !
Question: which type of mattress should we be looking for?

Hi Vanessa,

The first thing I would say is that with such a weight differential, you will need to look at a split spring tension, soft for you and firm for your partner. Unfortunately, such a combination is only available in our Artisan range in the form of a zip and link set in king size and above.

The Artisan range contain natural upholstery layers, which can be warm in winter and cooler in the summer and in addition, such components tend to have a longer life span than synthetic upholstery layers.

Please view the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 or the Artisan Bespoke, all of which can be made with the split spring tension required. The first two mattresses have an overall medium comfort which comes from the top upholstery layers.  However the Artisan Bespoke is the firmest mattress that we make.  As you both require different comforts, a compromise is going to be needed as we are unable to make a mattress that has differing comfort layers on each half of the mattress.

Once you have viewed these products, please call our office on 0161 437 4419  for more specific advice as to suitability.

Kind regards Julie
