Considering an Artisan King Size Mattress. One person at 1.55m and 65kg and one at 1.85m and 80kg. What tension would you recommend?

Hi Angus,

Thank you for your question.

At your body weights, we would recommend a medium spring tension. We have a guide on pocket springs here which has a table giving the weight tolerances for each spring tension.

Each of the Artisan mattresses then have different upholstery layers which gives a different comfort.  The first four mattresses in the Artisan Range all have a medium comfort layer, the Artisan Luxury is the softest mattress we make, the Artisan Bespoke is the firmest mattress, the Artisan Bespoke 002 again has a medium comfort layer but has a dual layer of springs which makes the mattress very responsive and is also slightly softer in the spring tension because of this.  Our newest mattress which is the Artisan Bespoke 003 is slightly softer in the comfort layers than the Artisan Bespoke 002 but not as soft as the Artisan Luxury.  The Artisan Bespoke 003 also has a dual layer of springs but this gives the mattress good support with deep sumptious top layers.

It would be preferable for you to telephone our Office to have a chat with one of our Advisors who will be able to give you the advice required in order for you to make the right choice.

Kind regards Julie
