Mattress that is not too dense?

My wife has struggled to find a mattress that she finds comfy, especially fro her hips and lower back. We invested in a Harrison Ruby(??) a while ago, but she finds even the softest tension too 'dense'. and has never liked the pockets/dips on any mattress surface. We're ideally looking for a mattress with a flat covering, that will be supportive without being 'dense'. Any thoughts?

As you wife does not like tufted mattresses, the only ones that we could recommend that you look at would be either Hybrid Foam or Latex as these mattresses have a flatter sleeping surface.
In order to advise you with regard to any of our mattresses, we would ideally need to know what your body weights are and preferred feel for both of your together with your budget.
