What is the measure or size of the pom pom or thread or ribbon that is tufted with vs the height of mattress?

Hi MD. Mirza,

Many thanks for your question about mattress tufts.

Mattress tufts are an integral and essential component of all-natural fibre mattresses. They enable really deep filled mattresses to be compressed to a manageable size meaning super full plump sleep fillings. This is because the mattress tufts keep the fillings in place and reduce settlement. You can read far more here about mattress tufts and how they work.

The diameter of a mattress the wool tuft is 4cm across and they are recessed into the mattress. Most people don't even notice they are there. They are connected via a ribbon that passes through the mattress.

If you want to know more about how mattresses are made then please look at this detailed guide here.

We hope that helps and gives you further mattress buying guidance. If you have any more mattress related questions please get back in touch on info@localhost or 0161 437 4419.

Sleep well
