Thank you for your enquiry. Spring tension is based solely on an individuals body weight to give the correct level of support.
 

 
For couples of differing body weights, we can make a split spring tension. This is where one half of the mattress is a medium spring tension and the other half a firm spring tension or a soft spring tension. As long as it is only one spring tension away we can make these in a one-piece mattress in king size and above with all of our Artisan range, the Origins Pocket 1500 and the Origins Pocket Latex 1500.  If you require spring tensions that are two apart like a soft/firm split, we can only make these with the zip and link option within our Artisan natural fibre range.
