To replace a 20 year old sprung mattress - Sleepezee Solitaire 800spring
Bed base is hard un-sprung slats can take a mattress 4'6" x 6'3.5" - the bed frame is not changing.
To accomodate 2x 12-16 stone adults
Its a good mattress in terms of support, but starting to feel the springs now & need something a little softer
Liked the feel of Premier Inn mattress in terms of softness but not sure if I need the mattress & topper, I don't want a topper which moves around - how do they attach to the main mattress etc.
Like to stay with pocket sprung and don't want to go for foams etc.
Advice welcome to work out a shortlist.
Many thanks;

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your question.

If you liked the feel of the Premier Inn mattress then that would guide me to advise you on the Origins Pocket 1500. This is the mattress we say would be the most similar, please see our article on the Premier Inn mattress here.

We do say that adding a mattress topper will create a more similar feel, toppers are usually attached by a full skirt around the mattress, or elasticated corners. Having a separate mattress topper is still a much better option, than any pillow top mattress, where the toper is attached. As you can turn your mattress over, prolonging it's life, and change the topper as and when needed, giving you so much more flexibility.

If you require any further assistance please don't hesitate to call the office 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Gary
