I have the same problem as many other posts on here in that I am a very light sleeper and my husband is very wriggly while he sleeps!
I am contemplating purchasing a kingsize zip and link mattress to put on my existing kingsize bedframe. Could you tell me if just buying the zip and link mattress will be sufficient to stop me feeling his movements, or is it important to have separate bases beneath the respective mattresses as well?

Zip and link mattresses can be used on an existing base, providing that this is in good order and do not have to be placed on a zip and link base. The problem of movement is, as you say, a common issue, which is often resolved by the use of a zip and link mattress set.
