We have recently started supplying ottoman bases, but unfortunately, we do not make a 4ft version, however, we do make a standard double (4ft 6in). As you are probably aware from viewing our site, we only supply products which represent quality and value for money and you can view our ottomans here. The majority of ottoman bases are made with a platform top in order to make them sturdy enough to hold mattresses of varying weights. Our ottoman bases are made so that they will support all the mattress products in our ranges. If buying from elsewhere, you would need to check the strength of the gas support struts, as some cheaper models are likely to fail in the short term.

Ottoman bases with slats instead of a solid platform top are only likely to impact on a mattress if no barrier is placed between the mattress and the slats meaning that the mattress could become ridged as a result of dipping into the gaps between the slats.
