Petite lady looking for a soft mattress

A customer asked

Hello
I am a 5'2" inches petite lady, weighing 43kg. I am looking for a soft mattress, as I sleep mostly on my side and on my front, and although I have a lovely medium mattress from John Lewis, my body seems to ache every morning I wake up. Rarely, I have slept well in hotel beds, regrettably not taking a note of the mattress tension and name! In the past I have had a Tempur mattress, but I found these overwhelmingly hot and this has now gone to our son, as he loves it.
I am looking therefore for a single bed (my husband sleeps on a single next to me, but tends to fidget a lot and he is 6'2", so we decided a while ago rather than me being up half the night that separate mattresses was the way to go if he didn't want to end up in the guest room for the rest of his life!
So, please can you help me. I do ache most mornings when I get up, although I am fit and healthy, taking plenty of exercise, so it's not that age had rendered me stiff and unbendable (quite yet!). I tend to toss and turn a lot as well, if that information is of help.
Many thanks
Jules

Hi Jules.

So sorry to hear you’re struggling so much with your mattress.

At your weight a medium will no doubt feel incredibly firm.

Without knowing your budget its hard to pin point one model to recommend.

However for your weight either our starter model the Origins Comfort, our softest model in the Origins Range, but at your very slight weight would still need a deep filled mattress topper to provide enough comfort.

If you’re looking for a 100% natural mattress with calico pocket springs then our Artisan Luxury in a soft spring tension will provide you with a very soft comfort layer with deep fillings of wool and horsehair.

I’d say the Luxury is the softest as it has deeper comfort layers with more fillings, which is represented in the price.

These models will be far cooler than a Tempur memory foam mattress, which are heat retentive.

If you need to discuss further please get back in touch.

Kind Regards Gary
