A customer asked

Hi I bought a serenity savoy king size mattress plus solid divan and it wasn't cheap 3 yrs ago.

We regularly turned it first few months as instructed I'm now waking with terrible back pain lower region.

I weigh 9 stone plus my husb abt 14 stone he is fine.

I am ok once up but wake up and struggle to get up getting worse.

Any advice please.

The mattress we chose is firm.

Hi Maria,

For someone with your body weight, we would not recommend a firm mattress.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

As you say this appears to be ok for your husband but is clearly having a detrimental effect on you. Our advice would be, if finances allow, to purchase a new mattress, but only after obtaining the appropriate advice regarding the tension. If you are not able to purchase a new mattress, the other option would be to purchase a topper, as you can make a mattress softer by the addition of such an item.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419
