Should I buy a Sealy Rosebud given it's a pillowtop?
I have been looking for a new super king size mattress and was contemplating the sealy rosebud or silent night ashridge at dreams but after reading here thinking these pillow topped ones are no good. budget about 1000 ...my weight 9.5 stone husband 12 stone and we want a firmer feel to mattress as both bothered with back pain. can you recommend a suitable option please.
Hi Susan,
With your particular body weights I would recommend a medium tension mattress. Previously, the advice in respect of mattresses for people with backs issues was to opt for a firmer spring, however, recent thinking in this regard and advice is to the contrary, please read http://www.chiropractic-uk.co.uk/time-to-change-your-mattress-244-news.aspx which provides more detail.
Because the detail in respect of the construction and upholstery is vague in respect of the two you have referred to, it is not possible to advise a comparison or comment as to quality and performance.
Please view the details of our Artisan range and in particular the Artisan Naturals, which represents excellent value for money and is double sided.
