sleepeezee versus origins pocket 1500

We have just spent a night at a Travel Lodge on one of their Sleepeezee Dream mattresses- medium/firm. I can find no further information other than that under the mattress on closer inspection it indicated April May June on the underside so I'm guessing it's rotatable. It has 950 pocket springs and felt firm with a robust edge. It was on a platform top divan base. We have a Victorian bedstead with flat slats approx 3 and a half inches wide about an inch and a half apart and we weigh approx 12 and a half stone each. I have looked at the Origin 1500 medium firm as an option but would appreciate your view as compared to the Travel Lodge mattress despite limited information. Also,in your opinion, would the Origin 1500 offer the same level of firmness as the Dream on a slatted base?

Hi Rachel

Thanks for your question.

I can't really comment on the Travel Lodge mattress, as looking at the product on their website, they don't give any real information about the mattress i.e GSM of the layers or even the types of upholstery layers used.

Your bedstead is fine to be used with any mattress, we would just recommend that you place an old or cheap duvet, over the slatted area before your new mattress goes on top this helps protect the mattress, and also stop indentations being created in the mattress.

I can't say if the Origins Pocket 1500 will feel like the Travel Lodge mattress, i can tell you the Origins 1500 is a medium feel mattress in the top upholstery layers, not too soft or too firm, and has a medium tension support spring within the mattress as standard.
