Suitable topper on a medium/soft mattress

Hi
I bought a medium/soft Kingsize divan bed and mattress (Artisan, I believe) a couple of years ago. I also bought a wool fleece topper from DPW.
I have replaced the divan with a slatted 4 poster and discarded with the wool topper. The bed is now less comfortable.
What topper should I buy, bearing in mind our weight differences, as reflected in variable mattress firmness, of me (14st) and my wife (8st)?

Hi Les,

Great to hear from you.

Sorry to hear you're suffering in your sleep comfort now you have changed your base and topper.

A slatted base will always firm up a mattress when its compared to a sprung edge divan. Slatted based also should be boarded over to stop any unnecessary damage to your mattress caused by the gaps between the slats, more on that here.

We would recommend replacing the topper with a like for like, given you found this comfortable previously.

It may be a good idea to call us on 0161 437 4419 and we can locate your original order and offer some more tailored advice.
