Hi I am looking for a new mattress king size for a slatted base, I weigh 16 stone and my partner 12 stone.
The mattress we have now gives me back ache each morning
Any suggestions would be gratefully received
Our budget is around the £500 mark

Unfortunately we do not have any products that will fit your budget.
I can only suggest that you take a look at our online Outlet option. This is where we resell products that have been returned to us under the 60 day love it or return it guarantee. Once a products has been returned to us it is inspected thoroughly and given a grade using the grading system shown in the table below;

With the body weights you have provided a medium spring tension will be sufficient support for the both of you.
Our mattresses are suitable to be placed on a slatted base as long as the gaps between the slats do not exceed 3". If the gaps are larger than 3" board over the base using a 3-5mm piece of MDF or Plywood.
