My advice firstly would be to ask does the mattress topper need to fold up with the mattress?

I ask because quality toppers, such as latex, are not usually manufactured to be folded.

In doing so you will inevitable damage the topper and cause cracks or creases along the folds.

If you were looking for a synthetic fibre topper then any deep micro fibre topper would be suitable. Please have a look at a company called Soak and Sleep.

I’m taking a guess that with it being on a foam sofa bed you don’t want to spend the earth.

I’d buy with the knowledge that you may need to replace every year or so as the fibres settle and compress. Cheap and often I’m afraid.

If however you want a more advanced topper, then please have a look at our Latex toppers.

These can’t be folded but would provide a deep layer of progressive comfort to your sofa bed.

This would last many years but again would be a permanent fixture and not something you want to move every morning, as they are quite heavy!

As we have said in the past, you need to ensure the sofa bed is giving adequate support because no amount of advanced toppers will fix a bad or unsuitable bed.
