Topper or protector recommendation

Hello. I have just received your "Caring for your John Ryan Bed" guide. It mentions a topper or protector should be used. Do you have one of each you can recommend?
We have bought the Origins 1500 mattress in a medium (still to arrive). I am 6ft and about 12.5st, my partner just over 5ft and around 7/8st. I would have got split tension of soft / medium but due to budget reasons - this bed is one of many purchases for our new house - I went for the origins.
Your help / recommendation is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Alex

Thanks for your order.

There are a bamboozling array of toppers and protectors out there. Its hard to recommend any specific ones before you get the bed. Its a bit like buying socks to go with a new pair of boots you have yet to try on.
There is more information in this post here but for general guidance.

If you find that your mattress is fabulously comfortable from day one (we hope so) then you can just buy a simple mattress protector. Alternatively if after sleeping on the mattress for a few weeks and you find it a little firm, you could then buy a topper that will make the mattress softer and also increase the life span of your mattress.

The great thing about toppers is that they are relatively inexpensive and they take all the wear and tear away from your mattress, so not only are they additional comfort layer but are easily replaced and make you mattress last even longer. Win Win!

We trust this assists but please do not hesitate to contact our office for further information or advice on 0161 437 4419.

Kind regards Julie
