Two single Mattress or one super King?
We have a Super King sized bed and are unhappy with our 3 year old mattress as it has developed a dip where we lay on it. My partner and I both prefer firm mattresses and are interested in the Origin Pocket Latex 1500 with 2000 spring. She weighs 10st and 5'8"and I weigh 13st, 5'10". To give a little perspective, my partner used to love sleeping on the floor so she likes it "firm" as do I. We have in the past had two single mattresses on the bed which we are fine with it we need different firmness.
Is a 2000 spring too much? What does the Latex do in the situation?
I can't remember reading anywhere on your site but do you take away old mattresses too?
Hi Matthew,
Thank you for your question.
Our Origins Pocket Latex 1500 mattress is a relatively firm mattress. The latex that we use in this mattress is a 60/40 blend and together with the pocket springs, gives the mattress its firmer feel.
The Origins Pocket Latex 1500 at your partner's weight will give her a firmer feel in any event and at your body weight, a more medium to firm feel.
We do not normally advise the 2000 spring unless you have a body weight of more than about 16st, unless you prefer the 'sleeping on a board ' type of feel which is what you would have with the Origins Pocket Latex 2000.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
Latex as a comfort layer will mold to your body shapes and is very much like memory foam but is a lot cooler and more responsive.
We do not take away old mattresses as our Delivery Team will not put old with new products.
I hope the above is of assistance to you but please do not hesitate to contact me should you require further information - 0161 437 4419
