Vi Spring Coronet
Hi. I love the feel of the Vi Spring Coronet in medium firmness with the standard tick and no divan. However, I wish to order 100% cotton tick instead because I want a natural fiber. I was told that the cotton tick will feel firmer than the standard tick. Will it be substantially firmer enough to warrant dropping down to a soft mattress with cotton tick to achieve a similar feel to the medium firm with standard tick? Or ...would a soft mattress with cotton tick be softer than a medium mattress with standard tick? I.e. Is the difference in feel of the cotton tick slight or substantial enough to warrant adjusting mattress firmness? thank you for your informative site!
Hi Susan,
Thank you for your enquiry.
It is the body weight(s) of the people/persons using the mattress which would dictate the spring tension.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
The ticking used will not, in our opinion, have a dramatic effect on the overall feel of the mattress provided that you opt for the correct spring tension and the right upholstery for your required feel.
The option for soft, medium or firm spring is detailed in this article, for your assistance.
We trust that this helps.
Kind Regards Gary
