Vi-Spring Hanbury Supreme equivalent
Having slept on vi-Spring Hanbury Supreme medium sprung at my favourite B&B I'm looking to buy same/similar for home. Could you recommend a John Ryan King Size bed which would be closest in quality and comfort? Ideally split tensions as I'm 9 stone and husband 14 stone. Thanks
Hi Sue,
Thanks for your question.
The Hanbury Superb is made exclusively for John Lewis by Vi-Spring and the published details of the construction and upholstery are quite vague, particularly in terms of the upholstery by way of GSM (grams per square metre), which makes providing details of a comparable product impossible. What I can say is that the Hanbury is naturally upholstered using Platinum British Fleece wool, cotton and horsehair combined with 1400 pocket springs in a standard king size.
Our Artisan range contains naturally upholstered mattresses with the nearest in terms of type of upholstery being our Artisan Luxury and this can be selected in a split spring tension, soft for you and medium for your husband in king size and above. I would suggest that you call our office prior to placing an order to obtain more specific advice as to suitability.
