We need a zip and link bed suitable for 2 insomniacs!

We need advive about which bed to choose. We need a zip and link to suit 2 sleepers with different sleep needs. We are both side sleepers but sleep terribly when we are in together. We have been to 'dreams' and were advised to buy a very expensive bed with a medium and soft tension. we are concerned that we may end up making a bad purchase that will not improve the sleep situation. Please advise!
