Hi Kathryn,

Thank you for your question.  Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your Vi-Spring bed.  When you say soft, is that the spring tension or the upholstery layers?

The aches and pains you are experiencing are common when the spring tension is incorrect and you do not have support from the springs.  This is determined solely by an individuals body weight.  At your body weight, we would pair you with a soft spring.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

Artisan Base

It could be that the comfort layers are simply too soft for you, knowing which Vi-Spring model you have purchased would make this easier to determine.  A sprung base will soften the feel of any mattress.  One way to determine if this is the cause of your problems is to try sleeping on the mattress on the floor, (on an old duvet to protect the underside of the mattress).  If this helps you could either board over the spring base to convert it into a platform or purchase a platform divan base, which will firm up the overall feel of the mattress.

I hope this helps and if I can be of further assistance please call the office on 0161 437 4419.  Our office hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards
Michaela
