Ie support that adjusts quickly and independently for you when compared to say a solid slatted bed base.

To answer your question you don't need to replace your mattress base when you change your mattress. If it's in good condition with no springs poking out and it is stable then we would recommend keeping it. Saves you money and helps reduce needless consumption of furniture goods! Win-Win!
