I and my husband are looking for a new king size mattress. We have a slatted bed.Our current mattress is a 10 yo Respa(Irish made) posture care model. To be honest it still feels ok to me but my husband has decamped into the spare room! He is over 14 stone, I am 9 and a halfish. He is also very tall, 6'4" to my 5'2". We have no back problems (until his recently) but I do have shoulder issues and I am a firm side sleeper.I moved into the spare room with him but find the new mattress (it's only 2y old, a Harvey Norman comfort pocket model) v uncomfortable. I feel v unstable in it. It has deep valleys from the tufts which is not helping. I also think long term it would not support my hips enough. He loves it however. Says it feels soft but firm.My question is how do we choose a new mattress that suits both of us? We have 2 kids so running around lying on endless beds is not an option! We like sharing. What would you recommend from your range? The entry model looks too soft, maybe the reflex? I would hope to keep the overall cost under €1000. Many thanks, your site is VERY informative!
