Which divan and mattress
I have a standard double Vi Spring Herald supreme mattress with pocket spring divan base which needs replacing. The mattress is a 'softer springing' style
I'm moving to a smaller apartment and need to replace with a 4' double.
I weigh more now than when I purchased the Vi Spring (92 vs 84kg) but still find the mattress very comfortable.
I have severe osteoarthritis of the spine and have had five surgeries and find firmer mattresses give me back ache as I don't feel the natural curves of my spine are maintained.
I welcome your advice and recommendations.
Many thanks
Hi Jane,
Although we do not make identical mattresses to Vi-Spring in terms of construction and upholstery layers, we are able to offer products with a similar feel to some of their models.
In respect of the Herald Supreme, our most similar mattress in terms of overall feel would be the Artisan Luxury which we usually compare to the Vi Spring Devonshire.
The Luxury is our softest 100% Natural mattress with incredibly deep sinking layers. All on a tailored tension calico pocket sprung support unit. Detailed with two rows of genuine hand side stitching. This is one of the best completely 100% natural component arrangements you can possibly get. Substantially well upholstered (4600 GSM) utilising horsehair and Wool in a sandwich layout topped off with a blended wool and cotton primary layer.

You body weight dictates that you should opt for the medium spring tension for support.
