Which mattress for us

Hi we need to buy a mattress. He weighs roughly 90 kilos and I around 50. He likes medium firm and I like firm. We have a slatted Base bed which measures 160cm wide and I've put a board not this to get a firmer feel to a miserable Dreams memory foam mattress that is more of a nightmare than a dream. We are saving money to buy a decent nights sleep and your advice will be much appreciated.Marion

With your particular body weights I would normally recommend a soft spring tension for you and a medium for your partner, although I note that you have said you prefer a firmer feel, so might suggest a medium spring tension for you both. Placing a mediums spring tension mattress on your base with a board over it will make the medium feel slightly firmer.

Our Origins Pocket 1500 will provide an overall medium feel with synthetic upholstery. However, if your budget permits, I would suggest looking at the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 or Artisan Bespoke all of which can be ordered with a medium spring tension. Of the three Artisan models the Artisan Bespoke will provide a firmer feel in the upholstery even with the medium spring tension.
