Vanadium coated calico encased pocket springs are available in our entire Artisan mattress range.

They really are incredibly springs and are the same specification that both Savoir, Vispring and Hastens use in their high-end mattresses. These luxury calico pocket springs are available in 3 tensions depending on your body weight.

Spring tensions are always chosen by the weight range they have been designed for. This ensures that they compress and extend accordingly for your weight. If you pick too light a spring gauge then it will compress too fast offering unsuitable support, too firm and it won't compress enough causing a really firm unforgiving nights sleep.

The comfort in mattresses is nearly always created with the upholstery fibres that sit on top of this pocket spring unit. So if you want a softer feel mattress you'll be looking for softer sink fibres whereas a firmer mattress would contain more resilient robust fibres. These can be blended to cause a host of different comfort preferences.
