Which version of Artisan mattress would best suit me
I need a Super King zip and link for a slatted base.
Current mattress is a Gainsborough pocket sprung very firm - which I don't like.
Height 1.88m, weight 107Kgs
Good Afternoon D.Crawford,
Thanks for your question.
Our Artisan range of mattresses are fine to go on to a slatted bed base as long as the gaps between the slats are no bigger than 3". If you measure the gaps and find they are bigger then all you would need to do is purchase some standard sheets of MDF, plywood or pegboard to solidify the surface and protect against indentation and damage.
Zip and Link mattresses are ideal where access to the property is restricted, where you might struggle to flip and rotate a one piece mattress or where one user tends to disturb the other.
Given that you disclose you don't like your current one, I'd steer you to our Artisan Naturals or Bespoke 004. Both are true medium feeling models in the top layers providing a slight sink but not too much. The only difference is that the Bespoke 004 has a full 100% natural fillings whereas the Naturals has 85%. Both will provide a cool sleep surface but some people have a preference for the full 100% natural fillings.
At your body weight you are borderline between a Medium spring and a Firm spring. If you want something with a bit more give choose the Medium. Alternatively, for something with a bit more support choose the Firm.
Bodyweight | Spring tension |
---|---|
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg | Medium (1.4mm) |
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards | Firm (1.6mm) |
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) | Soft (1.2mm) |
