Zip & Link - bed frame vs divan

We are planning to purchase an Artisan 1500 Super King Zip and Link.
Understanding that the zip and link adds about 2 inches to the total width, we're struggling to find a bed frame it will fit into.
We really don't want divans as we like bed frames that are open on the bottom.
Any suggestions for alternatives to divans for a zip and link set? Is there such as thing as a divan with legs? Or a flat-top bed frame that the zip and link will sit on top of?

Hi Nat,

There are loads of different options when it comes to bases, in fact, we have written an analysis of the 4 types of mattress bases here.

You're right that you will need to factor in the 2 inch extra on a zip and link. Also factor in the fact that all furniture comes with a 2cm tolerance, an inch roughly. It may be best to buy a base that's slightly bigger to accommodate this.

There are some bespoke bed base companies out there, though I can't recommend any as we only really recommend divan bases as they are tried and tested stable mattress support.
