zip & link vs split tension

King Size mattress - zip & link or split tension mattress
Do you have a preferred solution?...and if so why (be honest please....!)
I thought at first that the flexibility of the potential 2 single beds in the future swung it towards zip & link but now realise the size of each is less than that of a regular single mattress and cannot see the usefulness to me of a 2'6" mattress

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your question.

Zip and Link mattresses are ideal where the access to the property is restricted and you can't fit a one piece mattress in, where one user tends to disturb the other, where you might struggle to flip and rotate a one piece mattress or where there's a big difference in body weights.

They are also ideal if you plan on using them in something like a guest room and they might need to be used separately on occasion.

You can have a split tension mattress in the one piece in our Artisan range of mattresses. This range is constructed with pocket springs and a differing percentage of natural fillings. Those natural fillings in turn provide a cool sleep surface.

If you want the option of 2 independent single mattresses that can be used together then this is the Extra King Size Zip and Link giving 2 mattresses at 3ft x 6ft 3in.

We would need to know your body weights in order to discuss suitability.

Bodyweight Spring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kg Medium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg Upwards Firm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call) Soft (1.2mm)

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact our office on 0161 437 4419. Our office is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Kind Regards, Lee.
