Upholstery Layer 1: Blended British Fleece Wool & Cotton gives a soft yet resilient top comfort layer. With high loft it provides a mix of comfort and light support.
Upholstery Layer 2: A hair proof cambric cover helps stop fibres from migrating between layers & will be found in all high-end mattresses.
Upholstery Layer 3: 1250GSM Rebound Polycotton helps with both support and rebound with this mattress.
Upholstery Layer 4: We used 1500GSM Mohair as the insulating layer to add a robust property to the forthcoming layer.

Excellent all round.
I am extremely happy with the mattress I bought (Artisan Naturals). Obviously it is a risk buying online with no ability to try out beforehand. Having done literally months of research and trying mattresses in loads of different shops I ended up none the wiser about what to buy and kept coming back to the John Ryan site for information and advice, so in the end decided to chance it and buy one from this company which turned out to be a very good decision.

Ordering and delivery went exactly to plan. The delivery drivers put the new mattress directly on the bed because it was so heavy and advised on airing.
The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is because we’ve only slept in the mattress for a week and it’s very early to rate it although it’s very comfortable so far.
I was nervous about spending over £1000 on an item I hadn’t tried or seen but my experience so far gives me confidence I’ve made a good decision.

The best sleep we have had in years. The mattress is well made and looks fantastic. I have only had it a week and already it is the comfiest mattress I have ever had. The customer service at John Ryan By Design is second to none, they are always happy to answer any questions and they were in touch to arrange delivery in the time frame we were given. Delivery was also flawless. The guys from the delivery company kept us updated as to when our mattress was going to arrive. They were quick and efficient getting our mattress up the stairs and to the room of our choice. They were nice and polite and even took the rubbish away with them.
